Any one ever have any success using Zingit as your woopie cord for your ARL?
I'm looking at this Zing it cord, and it does have the channel through its core, so I may try to see if I can make a whopie cord with it for an ARL.

No problem. That's what I use.
My ARL is made from lash-it, which is the zing-it only grey in color.
Sure have. Works good.
From what I have read, most people use 2.2mm and not 1.75mm. I ordered the 180' roll of the 1.75 and will have great guy lines for my tarp, but I don't think it is going to work for the ridge line. Also, seeing how I have never spliced before, making a whoopie out of this small stuff would be an exercise in futility!

Thanks guys, it worked. Not as easy as Amsteel 7/64 but it worked. The trick was to find the right sized needle that will run through the channel, I used a wide eyed short stubby needle I used for leatherwork. Theis ARL now has a range from 90"-102". I marked the line with a black Sharpie marker in increments of two inches so I'm able to locate any specific location on the line. Going to try it out tonight.
A little tough, the first time. I use a piece of steel fishing leader, bought at Walmart. I fold it in half, then pinch it with a pair of pliers. Slip it through the zing-it, attach the end and pull back through. Make sure that you are tapering the end, it does make it easier to pull through, trust me, I know.

I use a guitar string folded over. Works great, but yes you do need to taper the end of the zing-it.
