Just an FYI, Lens Mill store here in Canada seems to be having a sale on their black ripstop nylon at $3.99/yd. Just bought some to make some stuff sacks. Their regular prices aren't too bad either at $5.99/yd

Not sure what weight it is though as I don't have a scale.

Incidentally I just checked for scales and Crappy tire has a Starfrit 5KG scale for $9.99, regular price of $29.99.

Have to run down to the local CT now...
