Help. What to do with unused ripstop fabric?

Ok. Purchased some ripstop from JoAnn Fabrics for a DIY tarp. Should've read the forum because now I think it is a dumb idea for me to try and waterproof, etc. my own tarp.

So, any ideas for what to do with this extra ripstop nylon material??

    Current ideas:
    Underquilt (already made one)
    Skull hat
    Socks for hammock
    Hammock (I like this idea)
    backpack

    All ideas appreciated. Thanks!!

Just send it to me and you don't have to worry about it. Seriously though, I'd go with the hammock. Then you could use it to convert non-hangers. Hang onto your scraps too. You can always make stuff sacks.
    It'll be alright Friday!

Love the hammock sock idea (great asset to your setup), of course an extra hammock is always good to have on hand in case you ever want to take someone with you...or perhaps you'd like it better yourself....and then there is always stuff sacks.

Have fun...the way I see it, it sure isn't a loss.

what I was saying... (got lost during the upgrade)

top quilt, gear hammock, stuff sacks. Like the "conversion" hammock idea as well.

+1 to the making of a hammock for conversion purposes. You'll make a friend for life everytime you give one away.

I'm with the make a hammock crowd. JoAnn's ripstop is 1.9 oz and is heavier then ideal (my opinion only) for most of the other uses, but will make a very nice hammock.
