Hi everyone!
So I've been reading HF for a few months now trying to figure out how to maximize my hanging experiences.
I slept in a hammock for 3 weeks in Costa Rica when I found that i was getting bitten by something in the bed But the transition to hammock sleeping was definitely a positive one.
I slept in a hammock on a camping trip in 09 (yeesh - that is a long time ago!) and haven't really slept in one since. When I got married in October last year a buddy got me an ENO Double Deluxe and some slap straps. When I read the reviews about stretching (and having woken up with my butt on the ground once before) I figured I need to get the right gear for some better hangs.
My first goal is figuring out how to get the wife into a hammock. At home we sleep close together, so both in the ENO might work out (never know til you try) but I need to figure out the suspension part (I'm writing a thread under Dutchware to figure out if Whoopie Hooks will work on a two-person hammock). And besides that, I want to improve (and lighten) my single-person hammock gear.
I ordered Whoopie Hooks today (yes!) and will soon order much more gear.
So - thank you for providing me interesting threads to read, gear to buy and thoughts to think.
akx
