so I was in the middle of sewing on the netting for the baffles on my DIY TQ and then my machine started acting up and missing stitches, I wanted to get moving on the move with the project already so I grabbed my other machine....same thing, starts bundling up thread on the bottom and I cant finish.
this sucks so much : /
Should I just go to a seamstress and have them finish the last, what should be , hour or so?

Sometimes I gotta just walk away & go visit with Smurfette. When I calm down, I go back and start over by re-threading the machine. You know, kinda like "re-booting".
Works for me sometimes.

Walk away from it, then come back and start from the beginning: re-fill the bobbin, re-thread the machine.
Do as the others said and change the needle if all else fails
I did change the needle and re thread the bobbin but did not fully re thread the machine from the top so I could do that tomorrow I guess.

Also make sure to check the tension of both threads.
It could be the bottom thread is too lose.

no no no!!! The bobbin tension is not the culprit. Birdnests on the bottom of the fabric indicate a problem with the top thread. The bobbin thread has nothing to do with the problem. The problem is cause by the fact that the top thread is not being pulled tight enough by the take up arm. The bobbin tension is set by the factory and every factory I knolw suggests you do not change the bobbin thread tension unless you know exactly what you are doing and exactly why.Originally Posted by trinni

Bobbin Tension - A Personal Viewpoint
Take a close look at the thread path all the way from the top spool to the bobbin. I've had lint build up under the top plate that I didn't notice because when I opened the plate I was looking at the bobbin and its case, not the hole the needle passes through. Clean everything, use a new needle, and re-thread.
The first rule of computer troubleshooting is "reboot". The first rule of sewing machine troubleshooting is"rethread" from ground zero. Take the spool and pull it off the machine so there is no thread in the pathway. Then rethread it. Change the needle, making sure you insert the needle correctly. A needle which is not installed properly can cause problems you can't imagine.
If you are going merrily along and suddenly the stitches are not right then something happened. Stop immediately and try to figure out what was. Did the thread break? Did a needle burr fray the thread and gum up the works? Did you stop for a reason and start back up without putting the presser foot down? Did you run over a pin and bend a needle? Was the seam particularly thick and lifted the presser foot canceling the tension?
Sometimes the goblins just decide to come out to play. I had a problem with my machine sewing properly with black thread. Anything else would work fine. Black thread... no way.

Bobbin Tension - A Personal Viewpoint
I had a similar problem a couple weeks ago. The culprit seemed to be that I had a tangle of loose thread wrapped around the bobbin that kept messing up my stitching pattern. I took everything apart and cleared all the loose stuff out and it seemed to fix it (although I did completely rethread everything in the process so maybe that was what actually fixed the problem). As others have said, rethread and clean everything. Good luck I know just how annoying that can be.
