Superfly tarps is about twice as big when packed inside snake skins compared to folded nicely. A lot of air gets trapped when tarp is rolled up.
It's still a lot more convenient with the snake skins.

I have been using skins on my tarp for years, all I do is when the tarp is in the skins I fold it in half then continue folding until I have it about two feet long, then I wrap my ridgeline around it making a nice compact bundle then put it in the side pocket of my pack! By doing it this way I still have enough room for a water bottle in the side pocket with the tarp in there as well!

I do the same thing and fold the snakeskins into a bundle and use the side of the ridgeline with the dutch hook to wrap it all up and hook the end.
I like to keep it on the tarp and just stuff it in the bottom of my pack...
When I pack my Tarp up i slide the skins down off the tarp but keep them on the Ridgeline, just stuff the tarp, ridgeline and skins loosely into the stuff sack and they pack down nicely. fits perfectly in the little stuff sack the superfly comes with!
