Finally, here is my video trip report. In spite of the spring weather, it was a great time and I can't wait for next year. I hope you all enjoy the video.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Good memories.

Great stuff.
I like the campfire scene a lot, with different conversations all mingling together.
“I think that when the lies are all told and forgot the truth will be there yet. It dont move about from place to place and it dont change from time to time. You cant corrupt it any more than you can salt salt.” - Cormac McCarthy
Looked like quite a wing-ding hootananny!
I love that song Matterhorn.......

Great ones. It was good to see you again!
I like that, too. The conversations are what makes a hang great, and are what is usually missing from a photo album. BTW, did you notice the video thumbnail? Look behind the "play" button in the middle...I thought that was very appropriate...
It was a great time. Love to have you come some day, Shug, you are on my list of people to meet/hang/hike with.

Same here, Cranky Bear. Loved the campfire story--thanks to you and Lazy River Road for sharing.
You're welcome!
Thanks, I think music is an important part of a video. I usually try to pick something appropriate, and this time Maztrain picked for me! It's a very funny thing, though, how there are times that the lyrics fit the video so well it's like it was pre-planned. I can only take credit for a few of those times. The rest is just how it works out.

Great video Bonsaihiker. This was my first hang, it was fun to see it all again. Mt. Rogers is a beautiful place. Loved getting to meet everyone and learn a wee bit about tree dwellin' Campfire and live music, good food, even got to try some livermush at the old Log Cabin. Like Dutch said, good memories. (Only next time, I'll try to avoid the midnight hike into the Wise Shelter. But the stream crossing did add a bit of excitement to it all!)
Kudos,
