    You could try hot glue, since when you fold the grosgrain over, it will hide the glue, but you need to do a few inches and fold the grosgrain, then repeat. If you run a bead of glue for a long length and lay the netting on it, it will harden into a bead that cannot be sewn. Nowadays I roll the netting as I sew. There is better mesh than noseeum.. Like any polyester "porthole" sport mesh in a small mesh size. it's just a bit more expensive.
