Start with stickies, Just Jeff , and Sgt Rock

If you read faster than you watch, google on " Just Jeff" and "Sgt Rock", including his "Hammock Camping 101. And, start with the stickies at the top of forums.
A year on, myself, I'm getting the impression that as much is being forgotten now as is being discovered. That's to be read favorably about the stock.

I think you're gonna need more than a few hours! Lots of info to absorb, more than one way to skin a cat.

As Demostix said, I think I've forgotten more than I've learned from sifting through all this info. I can now make a whoopie sling and a soft shackle without looking at a YouTube video or an Opie pictoral, but I got a lot to learn as I'm sure you do.

The smartest people are the ones who know they're ignorant, just as the most ignorant people are the ones who think they know it all.

Welcome from another Texan. +1 to what others have said about Shug's videos, Just Jeff's website and really enjoyed The Ultimate Hang as a good resource as well.

Funny you should mention the ultimate hang. I am reading right now. Great guide and also available on Nook and I think kindle for us ereader types. More then worth the price for new hanger IMHO

    Wow...thanks for the warm welcome!

I look forward to growing in this sport. I will get on the videos! I hope to have a system purchased or put together by June when the Scouts and I head to Canada for a canoe high adventure.
    Thanks again for the reception!
