Hey guys! I stumbled upon this site from Shug's videos on youtube. Hadn't given much thought to hammock camping but now I am very interested! I do a lot of day trips because I didn't want the hassle of trying to set up a tent after hiking all day. Now I won't have an excuse not to go on a 2 or 3 day hike. I have a lot of learning to do as I know nothing about where to buy, what's a good brand, what works and what doesn't etc. I'm excited to learn and hope to gain a lot of knowledge here.

Welcome to HF from Central Wisconsin. I grew up around Hannibal so them Ozark hills are not strange to me. Enjoy trying different things, I started out with just a gathered end "yard" hammock. My back felt better, my energy was higher for that second day of the trek.
