    Very Short Trip

Hey guys, this trip is a bit of a joke. I decided to sleep outside tonight in my Clark nx-250. We have a bad storm heading this way and I wanted to test out the Clark weathershield without a tarp just to see how effective it is. To give you an idea of the rain storm that I will soon be in I am including a pic of the radar.

I am located in Montgomery al if u would like to check it out real time.

I hope I don't get wet because I am in here with a brand new tablet...

Lol, it's been raining off and on all week... I don't think we're at 2 inches yet...

    That darn so-cal torrential drizzle...

    Stay dry! Enjoy the storm!

I'm surviving! Starting to rain harder but the worst is definitely yet to come. Weathershield it holding up good so far. From time to time I feel a very like mist but nothing that would cause any problems on the trail. My head is directly under the zipper so that would make sense....

That's the same one heading over me now... as long as I don't get 2.5 inches in my hammock I will be good

OK..... while I am not getting soaked by any means it is def not a bone dry :-) some of the larger drops seem to be hitting the top of the weathershield and then penetrating through the bugnet causing a light spray.... other then that there seems to be one the right side zipper some leaks under the zipper running horizontal to the ground. Because of the way I am laying, the right side is up a little higher and may be attributing to those leaks. I am typing this on my tablet so like I said it isn't that bad but its not completely dry either....

Stay tuned for more to come....

Lol yes always, but I always wondered weathershield alone how it would hold up.
Clark makes no claims that it is waterproof and for obvious reasons as I found out tonight...

Light drizzle you will be fine.... moderate to heavy rain I highly recommend the tarp because my butt got wet without it lol

I sent clark an e-mail asking if it was waterproof just to see what there response would be. Here it is if you would like to read it,

"Thanks for your message. The WeatherShield is not waterproof, by design. If it were waterproof, the hammock would not breathe well, and you would get terrible condensation. The WeatherShield is water resistant. Indirect moisture that may blow under the rain tarp will drain off. However, you would not want to try to replace the tarp with the WeatherShield alone in a real rain storm.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Clark Outdoor Products"

    That about sums it up!
