Fling-it

Unfortunately fling it is nothing like lash it and zing it. the coating is more like the line was dipped rather than added to the strands before weaving so it is thick and not very supple. It really is not a very good line for our uses. Far to plasticy.

I have part of a roll that has been floating around the shop for 2 years. Anyone that wants 10-20 feet to test send me a buck for a couple stamps.

+10...It has a square cross section and a prusik knot won't hold on it until you get it rounded out and it is not readily splice-able like zing it. I made the mistake of buying a roll and have not found a use for it.

I almost bought a roll of the fling it yesterday... Glad i decided not to.

Is there any difference between zing it and lash it besides color?

I'm considering buying a spool of zing-it.... I would be willing to trade half for half of a spool of lash-it...

No difference, just color.

... Braiding, diameter, coating... all the same...

You haven't tried splicing it yet, have you?

My point being, despite your first inspections, fling-it is not the same as zing/lash-it (as has been repeatedly reported) and is not readily splice-able. I would not want others that would like to splice, be mislead by your report.
