For those people who have made DIY draft collars for their underquilts, I have some questions.
1. Does a draft collar have to be the full width of the UQ? Some friends and I have been debating if a draft collar could be centered (because this is where air gaps normally show up) and only be about 12 to 20 inches long. Or is it better to do full width of UQ?
2. How wide is your tube once it's sewn? 2, 3, 4 inches?
3. Did you put yours at both ends or just at foot end, or just head end?
4. Did you do any other tweaks to the draft collar that may be of interest to other hangers. (Example: Scum's tweak to make DC stand up to close out air gaps as much as possible.)
5. Can you tell if the draft collars makes a difference or not?
Thanks.
