Almost have my setup complete (for now!)

DIY whipped end hammock with whoopies for suspension and ridge line. Webbing and carbon fiber toggles to attach to the tree. Wilderness logic old man winter tarp. Z-Line Spectra 1.5mm for tarp ridge line and 1.25mm prussic knots with S-Biners to attach the tarp to the continuous ridge line. Dutchware to complete ridge line is on the way! HammockGear Phoenix 40 degree UQ with 2oz extra down (or my wife's 20 degree Phoenix). My TQ is a North Face 20 degree sleeping bag that I may convert from sleeping bag to an actual TQ, but for now I use it unzipped. I plan to use the rest of my 1.25mm Spectra cord and shock cord for self adjusting tie outs on my tarp.

Any suggestions or does this setup seem pretty sound? It's my first complete setup and I am open to suggestions. I plan to set it up this weekend and take some photos for the forum.....

Bite your tongue, don't ever utter those words out loud.

Your setup will always be a work in progress.

It is very cool that your wife owns and lets you borrow her Phoenix.

This will help you decide if you're setup is complete. Get out there and hang in it and use it. I thought I had my setup where I wanted it but once between two trees, I ditched this, changed that, added those, etc. I believe all of our rigs are works in progress and we fall somewhere along the spectrum of being "complete". Good luck on the test hang and can't wait to see pics. Life is good above the ground.

I think the only BIG change that I will make is that I will eventually get a Cuban fiber tarp... I'm sure I will tweak it here and there from time to time.....

Alright! I have some pics to share. My 20* UQ arrived today so I went and found two trees to finally hang my whole setup on! Tell me what you think!

My daughter had to be the first one in! She couldn't even wait for me to adjust the UQ... PS. Yes I know my tarp was upside-down. I didn't notice right away because I was adding all the guy lines to it....

I finally had a chance to get in the hammock about 10 minutes after my daughter climbed in!

Just before I packed it up for my overnight trip tomorrow!
