    SOLD: 0* Incubator

well a +1 to eat up the boards here........

    0*F incubator
    black outer / green inner
    new "leg shelf" edition

update:*** this quilt is in the HG workshop getting upgraded with draft collars and a new hi-tech suspension system being developed by the crow's. not 100%
sure, but they said it should only take a few days to get the upgrade.

i tried the incubator again, and its just still too much quilt for me. so i'm selling this to fund a custom project with adam & jenny that will produce a fancy quilt
    for my wife.

quilt is in great shape - like new.
$250 shipped from the HG shop when finished
    paypal

    custom length?

This is a full length Incubator, and not (one of the (2,3....5?) custom 65" long one(s), (at times,) the right length for your body?

this is a stock, full length 78" incubator, leg shelf model.

the new suspension upgrade ditches the 14 ft. of shockcord,
and instead uses a 1/2" D-ring on 2 of the corners, and a line-loc on the
other 2. i'm told this helps to create an even tighter seal to the bottom
of the hammock, and helps to utilize the entire length of the quilt. (instead
of it doing an "accordion" thing and scrunching up towards the center. on top
of that, a short piece of shockcord & cord lock is installed along the long rail??
to EVEN FURTHER pull the quilt up preventing CBS, and helping to eliminate the overnight 'saggy stretch' of the original shockcord suspension.

the add-on draft collars should create a gasket seal on the ends and will
    add approx. 1 oz.

the crow's are holding the quilt in their shop until it sells here, for a direct ship
in a new stuff sack to the buyer.

What exactly do you mean too much quilt for you? I have never used an UQ. I am a new to hammock camping. I am thinking I would like to have a 0* or 20* underquilt and use my sleeping bag on top until i can afford a TQ. I might go with a lighter top quilt depending on the weather. What do you think?

You should start a new thread in the Insulation forum, to keep Rip's For Sale thread on-track.

to answer according my comments and reasoning for sale....

    the incubator is 78" long.
i'm 5'8" and focused on UL backpacking - if can save 10 oz. by going
to a short quilt, i'm gonna do it.

if weight is not paramount enough sacrifice a bit of comfort, then this
full length quilt is about as fine as they come. TOTAL COVERAGE!
