Hey John - welcome to the forum.
I didn't move the post, but I can tell you where it went and why -
It was moved to the non-hammock gear discussion section. That section must be subscribed to manually. See this thread for details.

As an update to this thread - here is a more detailed description of how to join the non-hammock-discussion groups.
First, click the 'User CP' button that is at the top of the forum.
Second, look along the very left of the page at the control panel options. One of the links is entitled 'Group Memberships'. Click there.
Next, you'll see the subscription options listed. You'll need to 'check' the 'join group' option beside one of the subscription groups (humor or non-hammock gear) and then click the 'join' button at the bottom. Note - you have to join one group at a time. Then repeat to join other groups.
Finally, look at the very bottom of the forum index page. There will now be more sections available.

Welcome to HF! Hope you enjoy it here.
For a more direct answer to your question, it was moved out of the "Hammock Talk" forum because it's not hammock talk. So it fits better in the non-hammock discussion forum. Angrysparrow's directions should help you find it. You're welcome to post non-hammock talk there, but we like to keep the non-subscription-based forums on topic.
Incidentally, why did you join a hammock forum to talk about stoves? As suggested in your original thread, WB has a very active stoves forum if you're interested.

“Welcome to HF!”, Jeff
Thank you
“Hope you enjoy it here.”, …
Have been for some time now.

Thanks again
”Incidentally, why did you join a hammock forum to talk about stoves? As suggested in your original thread,”
I didn’t join to talk about stoves but to come out of lurking (as mentioned in one of your posts) and to advance my backpacking pleasure with a new tarp and maybe a new hammock and new recipe or two. Some recipes call for different (as in stoves) cooking method.
“WB has a very active stoves forum if you're interested.”
Thanks for the tip, always interested in different technique.
John
Haha - great...welcome out of the lurking world, then! Looking forward to your input.
