    Just gettin' started.

Only been hammocking for a year. Found your site watchin' Shug's YouTube videos. I'm living in southern Ohio. I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful kids. I was able to get them out hiking last year for the first time. The family sleeps on the ground. I'm in the process of researching the Warbonnet and will most likely pick one up so my son Eli can hang with me. (gonna give him the Hennessy, heard the Warbonnet has a bigger footbox) The ladies are content on the ground. Looking forward to learning the trade from you all. I appreciate the site! My goal is to hook up with some local folks my son and I can hang with.

Welcome to the madness. Keep your eye on the trips section and I sure you will find a gathering within driving distance. Spring is just around the corner (or check out one of the winter hangs, I am sure some are still in the planning stages).

    Welcome Ebola,

You just missed a gathering at Zaleski St park last weekend. Keep an eye out for the Ohio hangers they tend to get out most every month at various locations (Mohican, Wildcat Hollow, Tar Hollow, etc.).

If you make it out to a hang it would be a great opportunity to check out different types of gear. But if you're really itching to pull the trigger on a BB, I'll give you a nudge down that slippery slope, drive on up to Sunbury and I'll toss up a BB (1.1dbl) in the back yard for you to try, even let you fiddle around with a few of Stormcrow's quilts.

Thank you Bannerstone, I'll keep an eye out for trips. And, thank you very much for the offer. I'm actually buying the Blackbird now and officially gifting the Hennessy to my son. I did see a video with a Stormcrow quilt. Looks comfy.

Thank you all for your replys! Can't wait to meet you on the trail.

You think Stormcrow can get me an HG Cuben and Incubator before then? I just put my order in tonight.

If not, you can always walk over to his house and help out! He's in Lancaster, lol. He'll take care of you, just as he and Jenny do for every one of their customers.

Welcome from Canton. I'll be at the March 2nd hang at Zaleski as well.

Guys, when can we officially become a "splinter cell" of Ohio Hangers and stage a hostile takeover of HF? I'm envisioning a scarlet and grey color scheme, the HF logo changing to an "O" with a hanger in it, and all banned users having their fonts changed to blue and yellow.
