    BB Ridgeline advice

Just been getting used to my new BB 1.1 dbl, got it set real nice & supremely comfy for a diagonal lay. Well chuffed with it so far. My question is regarding the ridgeline:
When just using as a chair hammock, how do you guys 'n' gals deal with the ridgeline? It always seem to be in the way when just sat chillin, can it be made to be removable when using it as a chair hammock?

A knife works pretty well, haha Just kidding. JUST KIDDING

I had the same issue and worse.
Always knocking my hat off when getting out.
When I'd hang my reading light from it and move around I'd get dizzy from the strobe effect.
All my current hammocks do not have RL's
Instead a have a line loosely run under my tarp with loops tied every 18" to hang things from.

EDIT: You could splice in a Dutch biner in at one end so when you have the net tied down you could detach the RL.

I made my BB ridge line removable. I made a fixed loop for one end and a line with fixed loop on each end. The I connected the parts with a nacrabiner. My suggestion is to make the line with the fixed loop at each end first, nacra secon and then you final piece the singular fixed loop last. It is hard for me to get the final length right unless I do it in that order.
Hope that makes sense and helps. I did mine out of zing-it (I'm 185 lbs). When the RL is disconnected I find the chair mode to be even more comfortable.
