FYI, some of, maybe all, the new 3 season and winter Phoenixes have draft collars now.

On my summer phoenix there is a cloth name patch sewn on one side close to one end.
I always use that as my guide to which end is the head end.
Never really looked at the UQ that closely to see if it really had a head/foot end.

Thanks for the vid! Really clarified a lot of things for me to see the two side by side. Now to decide if I really can be comfortable with less then a full UQ and a pad. Hummm....

    thanks man!
i went back to the yeti for the more milder temps where i'll sacrifice
coverage to be a weight wiener.

if its gonna be real cold, well, i'll bring the yeti to supplement a pod.

i've had a phoenix and its top notch gear... i'm in UL mode this season and
    chose 2/3's in the yeti.

    great video !

With my cold prone legs not sure I will be able to work with the 2/3 or 3/4 length UQ. I would love the weight drop to get me closer to SUL but after this weekends trip I really appreciated my full UQ.

    Best,

Yeah I'm not sure which is head or foot or if there is any head or foot at all. Probably no head or foot is my guess. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for the vid Raul. I especially liked the embedded two camera angles.
Gracias. I figured people would want to see how it worked with the footbox so I shot another angle and spliced it in.

Yes they did change the design of the Phoenix a bit. That's why I mentioned I got it off of a forum member and that I wasn't sure which version the quilt actually was.

Great glad it could help. I'm as comfy with my 2/3 as I was with the FL Mt Washington 3 UQ. And it doesnt take up that much real estate in my pack.

Yeah its all about personal choice. I'm a big yeti fan but the 3/4 is awesome too.

I'm super upset Shug the temps around here all winter weren't enough for me to break out my Winter Yeti. Sadness. That and work and planning my wedding has kept me off the trails.
