if you get it shipped to an REI store it is free shipping. I ended up canceling the stand with them because it was on backorder and was going to take another 30 days. Ended up being a good thing cuz I found it cheaper else where with free shipping and it should be here in a few days

    Spreader bars for ENO doublenest?

I have the ENO Doublenest which I've had great luck in the woods, so I bought the Lowe's hammock stand for my bedroom. It went together very easily, but when I hang the ENO it touches the ground. If I string it tight enough to stay off the ground then it wraps around me like a taco shell. Do I need spreader bars, or some other technique?

Well got mine set up the other day (double nest & Byer Vario Stand) with the stand spread out as far/high as possible. Used tie-down straps to hang the hammock so when I'm in it I clear the ground by inches. I'm still playing around with how to lay to be comfortable and flat. Mostly just use it to watch tv from right now and have not spent a long time in it. I did try to put my 3.5 self-inflating REI brand pad in to see if that worked. That was a mess. I will keep experimenting with and without the pad to get the best position and then play with how tight to hang. Thanks for all the help here

how tight you hang will influence what the best position is. They are linked to one another to a great degree.

It's a feel thing for me. Chair level or just a little higher. Usually I lay on a fleece blanket for warmth underneath. One of these days I'll put and UQ on here, I'm just lazy.

Well I will have to figure something out becasue the way I have it now hurts my back after I get up. Not sure if that means hang it looser so I can lay flatter or if I should hang it tighter to lay flatter

A general rule for me is if the back is sore hang tighter and if the shoulders are sore hang looser. Putting something underneath my knees helps out.

tightened it up and seem to be a lot better. I also shifted it so the foot end was much higher thant he head end and that seemed to help lay flatter
