    ENO double hammock stand

I want to get the ENO double and use it with this stand http://www.rei.com/product/767755?cm...ammock%20Stand
inside my apartment. Can any of you tell me if the stand is large (height & length) enough for this hammock?

That stand would probaly work but you could save yourself a few bucks. Lowes sells a hammock stand with about a 15' spread for $99.00. It's a pretty nice stand. It's the one Mule is using in this thread.

That is actually the stand I am using right now with my ENO double. I think I got it for a little less on sale, but I can't remember. I like it b/c it is fully adjustable and comes completely appart. Great for inside hanging and transport.

My ENO stretched a few inches at first. I use the biner on one side and a rope on the other. I still have a few feet of adjustment I can use to make it longer. I have to keep it small to fit in the bedroom. I have a decent amount of sag in it, probibly set to around 12' long.

If I remember right you can buy another center piece to make it even longer.

Coffee is this stand capable of being torn down, transported to a campgound, and set up for use easily (car camping)? Around here in AZ some parts dont have trees and some that do prohibit you from hanging anything from the trees. I think it would be great to use one at home that I could take with me car camping if I knew there would be no trees. It would have to fit in the back trunk of a large car though

Yes it is. If you look at the pic, all the green metal is seperate from all the grey. The legs bolt on as well. I think it weighs something like 50 lbs, but comes apart into something like 9 pieces. Easily fits into the trunk of my Mits Galant.

well I just ordered the stand and hammock to use in our spare room. I cant wait for it to get here. I figured this was a trial run and if I really like hammock then I'm going to order a clark NX 200 for backpacking and keep the ENO in our spare room to lounge in to watch tv or read or what not. again thanks for all the info

No Problem. I was surprised to see someone asking about the very setup I am using to sleep at home with. One of the great things about the internet.

Well the hammock came in today. The stand should be here by this weekend. First impression with the ENO doublenest, keep in mind I have not hung it but spread it out on the floor, nice small package but when I laid it out on the floor I was also surprised how small it seems. I intrested to see what it looks like hung up and if it is really as big as the pics make it. Right now I cant see anyway two people could lay in it comfy for even a minute. But we will see this weekend. Also keep in mind this is my first hammock and it might be super large compared to others.
