This is a continuation or update on my progress of modify my hammock tarp to a hot tarp using a very small wood stove. The first test can be viewed here.

While the website was down I really had a bunch of time on my hands so I got busy and converted a standard 2QZQ GrizzBeak to a hot tarp vestibule.
This stove port is not completed. Just glued in place for now.
I will eventually add a flap to cove the hole on the outside when the stove pipe is not used.
I burned wood all day taking temperature measurements all around the inside of the tarp.
I had a CO monitor going as well. Since I packed snow all along the edges of the tarp to keep the wind out.
For my final test before hanging up the hammock and quilts I packed the stove with 36 charcoal briquets and timed the burn down.
Let me just say right now. Kingsford (((ROCKS)))
In my wood burning tests I was using dried yard scraps(pine, cedar, cottonwood) in 1/2" to 2" diameter about 7" long.
I would have to add wood every 20-30 minutes to keep the heat coming.
Once that died back. I cleaned the stove out with my poop shovel and packed that baby with charcoal.
It was awesome. I did not have to do anything for 3 hours. That little stove just pumped out the heat.
At the end of the third hour I tossed another 8 briquets while setting up the hammock.
Top number outside temp at 2PM. Middle number inside tarp at RL.
Hard to get good picts in a small tarp.
I hope you can see there is a great little warming/cooking area far away from the hammock.
Sitting in my camp chair with a small CCF pad under my booties I was able to heat water and cook a FD meal.
No gloves or hat required. I even took my down jacket off while cooking.
Once it got dark I spent about 3 hours reading waiting for the fire to die down so I could go to sleep.
@10:30PM it was 24F outside with slight breeze and 46F inside.
Woke up about 7:30 am.
