    Superfly question

The setup video for the Superfly states that the doors are removable but the current photos seem to depict built in doors.

Can you get the doors as removable or do you have to go with the Mamajamba with doors for the extra $55?

Shoot Brandon at Warbonnet an email and dble check but I'm almost positive you'll have to go with the MJ if you want removable. My 2 Superflys came with doors attached. In fact it's just one piece of continuous fabric.

I just shot him an email about it. Maybe there were design changes after the video was made or maybe it's an option. We shall see.

Doors used to be a separate item for the Superfly and are now integrated. Basically, you have two long pieces of fabric sewn together at the ridgeline and the additional material on each end allows for complete enclosure.

The BMJ is the same size and dimensions but weighs less. However, if you have the BMJ and the doors the total weight is more than the Superfly.

So this is a long-winded explanation that yes, you do have to go with the BMJ if you want removable doors. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either setup.

Thanks for the info. Got a message back from Brandon as well this morning and I have pulled the trigger on a double 1.1 with a superfly tarp. Buy once cry once.

Good choice. I'd rather just pin the doors back then deal with taking them on/off the BMJ. I actually use mine year round and don't bother with summer tarps. I like 'porch mode'.
