Does anyone know the weight limit on whoopie slings?

'just stumbled across your post and remembered reading this thread the other day. Hope this gives you an idea.
I'm not asleep... but that doesn't mean I'm awake.
It depends upon the diameter and type of line used to make the whoopie slings.
- 7/64 Amsteel Blue = 1606 lbs
- 1/8 Amsteel Blue = 2420 lbs
- Dynaglide 1.8mm = 1000 lbs
Now take each of those and reduce by 20%-40% depending upon how much safety buffer you want and that will give you the approximate failing point of the whoopie sling.

Works great. Many ENO users do this. Check out my Gallery page & you'll see a couple of ENOs with them on.
Check out the ENO section in "Hammock Gear - Manufacturers & Services" to learn how to do it.
