    Thumbs up Long Trail End-to-End!

Well after much thinking about it, I put in for the time off at work and will be doing an End-to-End of the Long Trail in Vermont! Taking 25 days off to do it, but figure I will finish sooner. Just wanted to make sure I had plenty of time to enjoy it. 24 nights in my hammock...WHHOOOOOO BUDDDYYYY!!

I hope to thru hike the LT in 2013 from late August through late September. If you plan on keeping a journal online like postholer.com please let so I can follow along. I’m sure any information you can give me about the logistics of hiking the LT with a hammock will be very helpful. I built a piece of gear http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=47417 with the LT in mind. Let me know if you think it would work on the northern end of the trail.
    Peace,
    Gris

I will be keeping a journal and trying to update it as much as possible, with a full description of the hike and pictures when I am finished. I will post the link before I leave

I've always heard its absolutely brutal. Makes Linville Gorge look like a quaint city park.

Once you get north of where the AT breaks away from it, the terrain gets a lot more rugged. Many AT hikers compare it to the hardest parts of the AT. The scenery is magnificent though
