Talking Underquilt fo BBWB 1.1 dbl

    Hello guys,
The question has probably been asked many times before I just don't know where to find the answer.
I have been working alot of overtime and as a result I ordered a wbbb 1.1 dbl
My Question what underquilt fits a BB best I'm 6'2" tall like 210 lbs ish... I have been thinking about a 3/4 length maybe Leigh Lo's full length 60" might work?

The Yeti from Warbonnet is the best fit, as it is designed specifically for that hammock. Though, many other quilts are used with no issues.

I'm 6'1" and lighter than you but use a Hammock Gear's full-length Incubator. I like the feeling of being enclosed during colder temps and don't mind the weight penalty. It fits the WBBB very well as do many other quilts.

There are dozens of options that will work great on a BB. We offer 5 models that would be options. Warbonet offers two versions of the yeti that would work. Read up on what's available to help narrow down the features you like.

I use the Hammock Gear 3S Phoenix with very good results, I have never had an issue. Many other quilts will work as well.

I don't own a Yeti. The Phoenix is just a bit longer (5") if that's a factor And I think they're both trapazoid shaped or tapered (wider at the head end) now too. Watermonkey does own both and just did a comparison video yesterday:

I think he says the Pheonix is 61" and it's really only 51".

I also own a 0* Incubator but still really enjoy using the Phoenix.

    Both are extremely fine quilts.

Many UQs will fit the BlackBird....they all need their own bit of study but once dialed in....good to go.
Here is a video I did with some on the BB.
    Maybe hope it helps.....

Shug, Thanks for that video, which answers my questions on how you fit an under quilt to a WBBB. Mine arrived a week ago over here in England & I have my first night out in it this weekend. I was wondering how you got the quilt to stay over the foot box & your tight on the footbox side, looser on the other makes sense. Will be off to the hammock stand in a bit to try that out with my UK Hammocks full length winter under quilt. It will probably be getting down to -5C (20F) so should be a good test of my new rig.

I use a 60" long Underground quilt on my BB. I've got it dialed in so all I do now is slip the end shockcord over the end knot of my BB. And then I use the piece of shockcord that's pulled tight on the foot end (and is just hanging there now) to tie it over the ridgeline and to the other side of the under quilt. This lenght of underquilt fits me from past my feet to right at my shoulders. For this quilt to fit me this way, I ordered my total height (I'm 5 foot). This gave me enough quilt to shift it past my feet when it's attached to my hammock. If you want a quilt to fit you from shoulder to about your knees, measure yourself and go from there for what length of quilt you need (60" is probably about right). And the other thing I do is to make sure the quilt is tied to the suspension shockcords in such a way that the quilt doesn't settle back down to the middle while you're sleeping. For me that involved tieing the end of the quilt that covers my left shoulder and the foot end on the other side.

My thinking is that Warbonnet makes quilts that fit his hammocks. Others make quilts that will fit a lot of different hammocks. There's probably a lot less fiddleing to do with a Warbonnet quilt to have it fit a BB. But the other makers quilts will fit.
