Welcome from south ga.
I have ties to ft. Myers. One of my sons is a reporter and news anchor with WINK. He reports early in the mornings and anchors at 11 a.m.
You're going to love it here on the forum. There is so much good info. I'm glad your son is into the outdoors. I wish we had hammocks when mine were kids. It was tough on the ground but we still made some great memories.
God bless.
Welcome from another Floridian ...
G'day from an Australian Scout Leader. Scout name is Digger. 3rd Albany Scouts, Stirliing District, Western Australia.
Just really getting into hammocks myself but hope to get my troop to hang out some time in the near future.
Tried tarp camping but nearly got flooded out.
Tents got blown away and take SO long for them to put up.
Hammocks might just be the answer. Will have to look at getting them to make their own and then sleep out in them. Sounds great to me.
Cheers
Bloffy
Welcome from Southern Maryland!

Hello from across the pond.
I am a Scout Leader with the 2nd Quorn scouts, Charnwood District, here in the UK. I have 2 daughters who are now both Explorer Scouts working towards their Queens Scout Award. Presented by Royalty at Windsor Castle no less.
We are all starting to hang me and the eldest, who will be out this weekend and the youngest when she gets a hammock.
Welcome to the insanity. The lad looks to be having fun, hope to see that continue on and congrats on his achievements.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.
