    Kiamichi River 2012

It's history, and the head jackass is back in the mule barn.

Thanks to all who came! The weather wasn't bad, the water was great, and the friends were off the chart. Highlights:

Max (Slinky's lab) made it abundantly clear that Alan's shoe was his territory.

Ben (Hornman) caught some nice smallmouth.

Tarp and tbctx taught us all more than we wanted to know about deregulation and the grid.

The river rats, Sandpiper, Kat, tbctx, and og, played tag with an eagle on Saturday, and with a waterspout on Sunday.

The coyotes and the resident dogs entertained us at night.

And we all learned that honey badger just don't care.

So sorry I couldn't come. Family stuff kept me home. Jealous of the fun, but glad it was had. You all take care!

+1 On the "friends were off the chart" Old Gringo.
Hilda and I had a great time. I hope to convince her that a hammock can be warm and comfortable. At least she found out what a fantastic group of hangers we have. <:^D

Just a note...Saturday night it rained, BUT we had the use of a good sized pavilion. We moved the fire under the pavilion, along with a couple of picnic tables and all of our chairs. Problem solved. I mention this, because Monday morning, as we were packing up, the manager dropped by and told me that any time we want to return, a phone call will reserve the pavilion.
