Very nice looking quilts body. I as well am really digging the new draft collars on the HG UQ's.

    And +1 Sidewinder,
One of my favorite things about the HG UQ's are the channeled suspension. Having had the chance of trying out three different design of suspensions I have to say my favorite is the channeled suspension with elastic sewn into the inner shell. This is how my 20 Phoenix is and it does a great job of snugging up tight up against ya as well as gives you the adjust-ability of back and forth.

Enjoy the upgraded incubator and its warm downy goodness.

Law Dawg, I wasn't quite sure how these would work on my set up. I have an ENO Double nest & the Incubator channels don't at all match with the diameter of my hammock. Wouldn't they hold the UQ too low or high if the width of the UQ didn't exactly match the hammocks?

Not sure as these Dutch creations are not in my possession...yet. Thinking about changing suspension etc with some of the Dutchman's stuff (just for fun) and these might just end up in the order (MTF 911 code for More To Follow ).

That said I don't see why they would not work with the ENO dbl. Maybe even attached to the loops with a piece of shock cord. Anyone?

The draft collar is larger than I expected to see but glad to see it. I made a draft collar to retrofit my own Hammock Gear UQ and found it to be a little too small. Good to see HG went for it and made it right.

Yep, especially on the shorter quilts. My Incubator is long enough I don't really need to move it.

This may be a silly question but . . . .does the big tube hide inside the underquilt or does it stick outside to fill up any gaps that occur?

Inside is actually a better location for the draft tube to fill any gaps. The key is that it sits higher than the UQ baffles.

the side channel shockcord / cordlock seems to be designed like the knotty hammock or 2qzq uqp--- allowing you to tension the channel, thereby lifting the quilt up closer to the hammock.

this confirms my curiosity. of course, as stated, you do lose the ability to slide the quilt along the rails. not a big deal with the incubator, and one might be inclined to request the 'original' rail suspension on a 3/4 phoenix.

i'm told the benefits with actual fit and snugness to the bottom of the hammock should outweigh the ability to slide the quilt... time will tell. i do like the cord lock--- -i think.

    and holy draft collar!

i had an incubator send for the mod, and should be on its way to another member here for actual use.

    thanks for the pics!
Hi Rip, Couldn't you have both. Sliding and gathering.
By run a second shockcord thru the channels and use shockcord grippers at each end?

Adjust the quilt by sliding into position. Then Tighten the second shockcord grippers to gather/ snug the sides.

Can you run a full circle shock cord that you slide your quilt up and back and put 4 prussiks that attach to the quilt end loops? Tighten those up to keep the sides snug?
