Man, I would love to get back to Colorado and do a hang. Unfortunately that's a little to far for me.

This area is particularly amazing with all those 14ers just blasting out of the valley floor. When my GF and I were there we had just biked over much of the Colorado great divide, so we were used to being on top. When we made it to this area, it was quite striking to see so much mountain. Maybe you could bust out the penny jar or something! It would be worth it!
Of course, the fall hang is right around that time, isn't it?
The fall colors should be pretty good at that time. However, it is bow season.

I hiked in the area last year. We did a short loop and went up Yale Peak. I will look for photos to post later. It was a clear day and the view was great. I would be interested in this if it is after August 20th.
I talked to the friend that wants to go to Colorado with me, and we are going to have to go before school starts for him. So, I am afraid I won't be there in September, more like early to mid August.
We are trying to plan a trip where we park the car at someone's house, and get a ride with our bikes up into the mountains, where we can camp and hike for about 5 days, and then ride the bikes back into town. He said he knew people in Boulder and Denver, and I am pretty sure I have a few folks who may be willing to help us in Salida, so those three areas are at the top of the list for us at this point.
I just down loaded a couple of Pine Creek pictures.
Two people in my party fished Pince Creek with no results, but the spring run off was pretty heavy.

I am hiking the 32 mile Segment of the Colorado Trail between Kenosha Pass and Breckenridge over Labor Day weekend.
