I was hoping to make my first MAHHA this spring, but it looks like I've got a part time job.
Better take it while the taking is good, but maybe I'll make the fall MAHHA.
Nice name tags BTY!
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Hey All,
Thinking of hiking in from the south. Would park at Caledonia, but that'll be a little too far for me to hike out Sunday a.m. Does anyone know of any good trailside parking spots between Caledonia and Pine Grove (maybe around Brich Run Shelter or Shippensburg/Big Flat Fire Tower)?
Thanks all - and see you there!

I can drop you off at your vehicle at Calodonia on Sunday when I leave MAHHA. Most trail hikers check in at the Calodonia park office then park accross from the old Thaddeus Stevens Blacksmith shop to start their AT hike on that section.

I have to back out of Spring MAHHA hang. I have had some personal things come up, everything is ok, but I will not be able to hang with everyone that weekend.
Hopefully the Fall hang will work with my schedule.
Have a great time!

UPDATE: - I updated the spreadsheet, sorry no spicy slaw this time.
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.
Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.
See the pre-hang hike thread... Some of us will be at Quarry Gap Wednesday night, then all will be at Birch Run Thursday night, and arrive at Pine Grove Furnace SP Friday... Informal arrangements will be made to shuttle hikers to Caledonia Wed. or Thur. - and/or to retrieve vehicles from Caledonia after the hike - whether Friday, Saturday, or even Sunday...
If you start 'late' Thursday, there is a large parking area on Shippensburg Road were the AT crosses... Birch Run is 1.4 miles South from that parking spot...
If you park there (or at Caledonia), someone will get you back to your vehicle 'sometime' Fri. through Sun. - you won't be stranded nor required to hike back to it!!
Join us for however long you can!
Happy trails!!!

Thanks for the parking advice guys!

I'm in for the hang! It will be my first and I'm bringing a fellow hanger that I'm not sure if he is a member here. What would be an example of a good side dish to bring? And is there anything else we should know or bring? I think we will probably just have our normal backpacking kits. Thanks and I look forward to meeting all of you!
Also, anyone bringing a dangerbird to the hang? I kinda want to check one out.
