The only ones I've ever had are ones I made myself. I took inspriation from Ray Jardine's design and made it myself. It weighs in right at 16 oz. and keeps me toasty warm.
Happy Trails to one and all.

I have a few favorites -- what a tough question!

    * I like the HammockGear.com Burrow, especially the center draw string concept.
    * JRB's No Snivvler series is great. Both the Burrow and No Snivvler have a nice draw-string foot box. I like the JRB quilt because it can do double-duty as an insulated jacket with its head slit. Very cool.
    * I'm currently testing the Exped Dreamwalker 650. While not technically a hammock-specific top quilt, it does triple duty as a wearable quilt (like JRB), 360° protection with a hood, and can also be used as a pea pod/pull-over bag with enough room for a diagonal lay.

I haven't tried all the quilts, so I don't want to be too biased. My gut tells me that they are all good, probably because they almost all follow the same basic pattern: no zipper, no hood, no back, and a foot box. Some have a finished foot box while others allow you to open the quilt up completely. I think for most people it will boil down to cost and customer service, unless you want to wear your quilt, and then there are fewer options out there.

JRB No Sniveler (Jacks R Better) for the cold weather (45F-). The versatility to use it as a TQ, UQ or wear it as a serape had me sold. I prefer gear with multiple use ability. The coziness of down in cold weather is nice.

LHBR double layer IX TQ (tttrailgear) for warmer weather (45F+). Lightweight, and doesn't absorb my sweat/moisture on multi-day hikes.

My JRB stealth, for the reasons others listed especially the slit to use it as camp insulation for those chilly mornings.

+1 for the HG burrow! This is the first TQ I've owned(just used a sleeping bag before) but I can't imagine any better!

I like my Burrow and the one I made for summer. But I've seen the Underground quilts and I'm tempted to add another.

I use a JRB Hudson River for +30F and above and the Old Rag Mountain when below +30F.
