    Image sizing.

I don't have a wall size computer screen, but at 21" I should like to think it will suffice.

I know the trend around here would be to suggest that I go out and buy a 56" or larger screen regardless of the cost, but that just ain't gonna happen. Not for me, and not for a lot of people.

So here is the suggestion part.

Implement a maximum image size. 800x would be perfectly reasonable IMHO.

One can always navigate to the image source and blow it up til their hearts content, and everyone else will be able to enjoy reading a thread without the ridiculous side scrolling.

    Just a thought.

FWIW...I have 19" monitors and have seen very few examples of oversize photos on this forum and they do have a limit of 1280x1024.

I suspect you have your screen resolution set lower then normal, thus making the photos appear larger. It is the resolution and not the screen size that makes photos fit.

My father does this intentionally to make text larger and easier to read for his 90 year old eyes.

I'd agree. I resize everything to about 1/2 size before I upload. Check you computer settings.

I plead guilty to recently posting a way-too-large image. I had just grabbed it from a web page where it was one sixteenth the size (to make up a statistic) and I failed to preview it.
