Like a good boat, a decent hammock in the hands of a reasonably competent individual simply won't fail.
Best to build your own. (assuming you are reasonably competent)

They don't fail often. Rarely is more accurate.
My guess is that most of the failures that do occur are the result of damage that has compromised the structural integrity of the whole, creating a stress riser.

I have to say hammocks NEVER fail, people do. All failures I have ever heard was due to operater error. Be sweet to it and it will be sweet to you.

That's true about hammocks to be failsafe.
