In regards to being DP: Is any DWR DP? Is all calendared rip stop nylon DP? Is WR (water resistant) down proof? Is WP (water proof) DP? ...or do I need to be only looking at fabrics that specify that they are DP?
Thank you gang

DWR is down proof due to the coating on the fabric, although if used, any moister that gets into your down is not going to get out of it. Same goes for Silnylon and cuban. In theory calendared ripstop is down proof on the calendared (shiny) side, although I do get small bits of down floating free from my quilts, most likely though from the stiching holes not the fabric itself as I didn't seam seal the stiching as many have done. To be certain I'd say stick with fabric specifically stated to be down proof if you don't want to have to redo something later. But what kind of DIYer doesn't want to continually tweak their gear?
