Search for 4-in-1 for my system. Basically a $2 / yd mosquito net, ~10' long x ~ 5' wide, hung over the ridgeline, shaped at the ends to clip some weight, with some strategic placements of velcro. Not a problem hanging in your face. Don't need any spreaders to keep it off your face.
If it works in Alabama in the summertime, it should work anywhere.

“i'm also looking for a way for a rectangular bug net to work with a hammock and tarp” darkhawk
Claytor’s bug net is a rectangle same size as hammock, this allows hammock to go 180 when no bug net is needed.
I have no problem using the Speer 8X10 cat-tarp hung fair weather high but side pullouts would allow for a lower tarp and bug net foul weather hang.
