I am Byron Williams a manufacturing and machining teacher in Auburn. I am planning for my first backpacking trip and ran across a good deal on a Lawson hammock. I snapped it up and am now reading as much as I can about this hammock camping you guys do. I now realize that it is heavy and may not be the solution for me, but I may try and make it work. I may try my hand at making a bridge. I have been reading for about a week and have learned a ton already. Thanks for you guys being willing to share your experience and opinions so readily. I fell like I could go out today and camp in the hammock just from what I've read. Thanks.
