What do you use on your ridgeline instead of prusiks to keep your tarp in place?
I use a Distel Hitch. I have found that I can reef on it pretty hard and it won't lock up on me like a prusik. I use five wraps over one vs. the normal four over one as I'm using 1.75 zingit for both the RL and the hitch.
Good luck,

I don't use a ridgeline for my tarp.
I have cordage attached at either end, with a plastic Figure 9 attached to the cordage.
I simply take one end, estimate the distance I need from the tree, and attach it around the tree with the Fig 9. I then repeat and tension/adjust the distance on the other end with the Fig 9s.
No ridgeline on my tarp, and it doesn't use the ridgeline/support from my hammock either.
Kleimheist knots. They have more holding power.
I like learning new knots. Very nice.
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.
Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.
