    Good silk liner for hammock?

Down here in SE Texas it can get downright tropical in the summer. I'm looking for a good side or top opening silk bag liner to sleep in on those humid nights where I sweat like I'm taking Latin finals and need the grade to graduate. I've seen a couple that are just bags, but I want something a bit easier to get into in the hammock.

And if anybody has any other ideas of a good liner/sheet/blanket/sponge that will work, please shout out.

I'm watching this with interest. I think when I get one I will chop it up to be a TQ configuration but I haven't decided on the brand/fabric.

    I just came across this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/180823061046...84.m1423.l2649

Doing some research I find that it does have a long side entry, and at 93" its certainly long enough. Seems a bit pricey---that one looks to be the cheapest.

    Then there's this one:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/310322852683...84.m1423.l2649

    Which seems short at 78"

Everything else I find doesn't have side or top entry.

    My Google-Fu found this:

Sounds close to what you're looking for.
Dutch: Hammock is probably more weight but who wants to lay on the ground? I pee on the ground.

Competitive market, you get what you pay for. Bargains are either small or a silk-poly blend. 100% Silk, oddly, does not mean 100% silk.

Before enthusiasm, too, you need to figure out how you are going to maintain the traction you want in getting in and out. Will the liner slide you down to the bottom of the hammock? Velcro? Buttons?

I'm looking to do something similar to what I did with the Swiss Army Surplus fleece liner. I'm thinking that the ones with a pillow case will allow me to pass a length of shock cord through and tie to the prusik I put on the ridgeline.

Use a double top cotton sheet that I fab a footbox on it with the bottom edges pulled in and sewen up. Works O.K. for warm nights.

Another SE Texan here keeping an eye on this. Has anyone bought silk and done a DIY liner or summer TQ/bag?

Edit: haven't really searched the forum yet. BRB, getting my lazy butt up to use the search function instead of asking someone else to do the legwork for me :P

I am a very warm sleeper and found this at the As Seen On TV store fir about $15 on sale.

It has worked great as a cold weather liner and as a warm weather TQ for me.
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.
