Guess I lurked enough and should properly introduce myself.
So first off a mighty fine HOWDY to everyone. I was Born in Twin Falls, Idaho and raised in Central NJ. Been involved in Scouting in one form or another, currently I'm an Assistant Scout Master and a father of a 3 Palm Eagle Scout (Yes, I'm Bragging). I've done 2 very short hikes on the AT, under 10 miles. The first in PA the other in NJ. I'm gearing up for another short hop in the middle of March and planning / hoping to do a NJ Section Hike in the Fall from Del. Water Gap to NY. I was introduced to Hammock Camping, a couple of years ago, when my son decided he like to go to Seabase High Adventure Camp. With that in mind we raised funds and purchased 12 Hennessy Hammocks for the troop. My setup has been pieced together over the last few months, starting with a Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock that I received as a gift. I've added a Harbor Freight Tarp, Pawleys Island Tree Straps and most recently a poncho liner.
