"No whining in the woods"
that's awesome man! Not to mention you get some VB action, thing should be COOKIN'!
yeah the VB part i'm hoping sewing the cuben will allow some air flow so i don't get condensation but thats what testing is for ..... this month it will get tested at different temps for condensation... tonight is the 50's test int eh basement since it's always cool and in the 50's
thanks again everyone i really enjoyed making this quilt i can't wait to start on Ver 2 and the full length and get my testing done
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
Nice work on the UQ
GLP - Looks great - nice job!!
Did you have to do anything to prep the cuben to "soften" it up to use in that application, like washing it like tyvek? I never really seen cuben up close but it looks like a stiff material. For a tarp I could see that coming in handy, but for a UQ, I would wonder if the stiffness impeded the insulation loft. Is it noticeably noisy when you move around in your hammock?
If cuben weren't so expensive, I'd experiment more with it. As it is now, I have to stick to the cheap stuff for my frankenstein-projects!!
I ogle it with some serious hybrid envy.
Right goody that!

Wow! I hiked last weekend with G.L.P. and he mentioned he would be finishing this quilt. He can't hike worth a darn but he does have insane textile-impaling skills.
