Rings sewn on the side of my UQ

Just got my HG UQ in and I assume the rings sewn on the side are to attach to the hammock to keep it in place but how is the best way to attach them to my BB?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have an issue with the center sagging down. Then I would run a shock cord over the ridge line.

Mine has never sagged enough to give me a cool spot.
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.

If you mean the loops of grossgrain, then they're just extra attachment points. You can use them if you're having a hard time getting a good fit. I use the ones between the ends to pull up the middle of the UQ and attach it to my whoopies at the end (see my gallery).

You can also use them with Dutch's UQ hooks, or sew attachment points to your hammock. I used one on my WBBB to hold the UQ above the footbox.
