I had done -4 the week before, and we had just finished the second UQ on Friday. I had short periods with CBS, but only slightly, and I could move around a bit and get a better seal. It was harder for my wife, being her first experience with an UQ and she could never get it completely adjusted, so she ended up using a self-inflating pad, which didn't help completely. We had a very thin mylar/foam pad between the UQ and the hammock, just a 1m square turned diamond-shaped, shiny side against the hammock, but I don't think it helped too much. So, I had a good night, my wife had a bearable one, I was warm and toasty for the most part. Having learned that you have to keep your alchohol in your pocket, we were able to have a Shug-inspired "breakfast from the hammock" before we broke camp. A good test run, we will have to spend some time practicing with the UQ in more bearable conditions out back before we go out again, and make some cozys, but my wife is a grinder, she won't be giving up, despite the CBS last night!

We live near Strängnäs, and we have two mini-backpackers, my two children, who managed really well last summer with 7kg packs and three night trips with hammocks, but I don't know if we could do a SKAHO trip, and definately not until the weather warms up.

Having just paid taxes on gear-making supplies, does anyone have a link to a webshop in Sweden for nylon, carabiners, shockcord and such? I have looked at extremtextil.de, but they don't carry everything.

Is there a Swedish hammock forum somewhere?

Thanks again for all the positive karma, I am so happy to be able to start the season already!
I start from the bottom and work my self up

No Swedish hammock forum that i 'm aware of.
We are lucky to have this one
Bieggolmai (peter1969) is pretty active on Utsidan.se

Yeah, getting material is a pain sometimes.

I buy from diffrent places in the US.
    Ebay
    extremtextil.de
    http://www.shelby.fi/
Never bought any from this shady guy, he sends me stuff all the time http://www.paracordshop.se/

A hole family of hammock hangers in Strängnäs
    Strängnäs is not that far.
SKAHO have a tendency to be way up North
Maybe time to change that and make them fly to us instead, let them loose their fuel bottles

How old are the kids ? , i got a 7yr old boy, but he prefer a soft bed before a hammock
MAybe your kids could put him right

Your lady seems to be a tough one, but see to it that she gets a warmer night at the next hang.

It's time for the 7yr Hockey training , got to run
We might manage to meet up some time, you never know ?

    Moski,

My son is 8 and my daughter is 9 1/2. They are a little jealous that we get to go camping now, but they will have to wait until the new material gets here for their UQs, and above freezing temps.

The great thing about Sweden is that you can camp practically anywhere, where do you usually camp near Stockholm?

I don't know how those rangers in parks will accept hangers but somewhere in Latvia this can be done 100% and also near Riga.
I only sometimes seen those spreader bar net hammocks in some backyards only.

Also at Šķūnenieku kauss here 57.27288, 26.5602 in second augusts weekend many participants of this competition going to ground dwelling camping no less than ~30-40 tents of various configurations and last time I had been only a hanger
