2012 Spring MAHHA pre-hang hike April 26 & 27

I'm very jealous of those of you who get to hike in. I did that section last fall and it's rather charming. Here's one weather report:

Where I live, it was so deep in snow this morning I had to stand on a chair to put my hat on.
I am in Central PA ( Osceola Mills, Pa.) and so far about 6 inches of heavy snow and still snowing.

I believe to the East of me near our MAHHA area( Chambersburg, Fayetteville) just the rain is falling.

I just seen a snowman traveling around !!!
He was on his Schwinn iceicle !

Wow..so is it gonna be a winter Hang? Wonder if Black Wolf was prepared for this.

Only a cold drizzle in Lancaster County PA.

Kinda raw....

Looks like I'm going to make this one. I should be arriving around 12, 1 pm wed.Hope to get there earlier. I need to hitch a ride to cal. to start the hike so if you see me on rt 233 with my thumb out feel free to stop and say hello. Otherwise i'll meet up with some of you at the quarry gap shelter.

Bob Mac, i'll be at PGF around 12:30, look for my silver Honda Element with bike and kayak racks. you can probably get a ride with me, Two Tents and the madcap MML. if we take my car, i only have three seats but there is plenty of room if you just sit on the floor and hold on!

I am a 'maybe' on the pre-hike list.
Currently, not doing the pre-hike.

Today finished a 5 day AT Section Hike in PA and NJ.

Five wonderful days. Three raining. Spring burst out green in front of our eyes.

five days? you *rock* Gallina!! i did a nice hike on the AT at High Point state park in NJ saturday. so looking forward to seeing you!

Bob Mac, sweetbabyd, MML, & Two Tents - I will try to arrive at PGF about the same time...
I have a gold Toyota RAV4 (my new future retirement vehicle!

) - comfy for 4, not sure about the middle position of the back seat, however.

Anyone else showing up about the same time? Even with one or two more, we could probably use only two vehicles to drive down to Caledonia...

Can't wait!! See ya there!

? At PGF, will we park the extra cars (during the hike) at the group site or at the trailhead lots near the pavilion?
