Can't hang mine either, I keep them in a king size pillow case in the closet so they don't get squished down.
Thanks that make me feel better about the way I have to store mine.

I have mine in some pillow cases as well in a closet. From time to time, if they are not being used, I yank one out and lie it flat for a day or so.

Just like you would any nice bag, as loose ad possible.
I got a few 24"x36" cotton bags from Amazon:
Whitmor Natural Cotton Laundry Bag
They work great for my HG Incubators.
I lay them flat under the beds.
