    Maybe it's just me....

    OK Claytor JH users...
Is it me or is the sack the hammock and fly comes in a little small?

I prefer the "controlled' stuff method to storing my tents and tarp...less time and no repetitive stress points.
My JH "stuff" sacks are too small to stuff. If I roll the hammock body and tarp, they fit. But if I stuff...no way.

    Any other observations?

You are right, too small to restuff often, I use a larger stuff sack or skins. Mule

I think it's exactly the right size, although I've never packed it quite as neatly as it was when it first arrived.

I am planning to pack it in two separate bags anyway- if it rains, I need to be able to pack the tarp separately so that it won't make the hammock itself wet.

I just finished my snake skins for both the hammock & my 12 X 12 neo tarp. Don’t need the original sacks anymore, and I’m very happy with the set up and the option of keeping both hammock & tarp ‘skinned’ and out of the way as needed.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.

I usually prefer to keep the hammock and tap separate anyway, because 1) the fly maybe wet when being packed up, and 2) keeping the tarp in an external mesh pocket (or something) makes it possible the put the tarp up in a hurry and then you can hang the hammock and stay dry for the most part.
