    What's the benefits of donating? How do I access the Kitchen forum?

    Can someone tell me how to access the "Kitchen" part of the forum? A friend gave me a link to a post there and I can't seem to access it. When I visit the link, it says "you do not have permission to access this page" I'm wondering if I need to donate before I have access to certain sections of the forum. Can someone help?

    The benefit of donating is that you can access the kitchen part of the forum

    There are several others that only donating members can access and some of the best info goes out there. I feel it is well worth the extremely small amount of money that it costs.

    I found the shear amount of information I had access to here for free worth the small $10 donation. Everything in the donating member's section is just gravy ontop of an already delicious turkey sandwich IMO. A big plus to donating is you never again have to ask "Where did my post on such and such go to?" So many people start a thread and never get to see all the amazing answers to their question.

    So donate today and see what all you've been missing, it opens up so much more than just hammocking. Inculding paddling, motor/pedal biking, camp cooking (BabelFish5's food series alone is worth 5x the price of admission), backpacking gear of all shapes and sizes, edged bits of metal, and any other topic you can think of that is not strictly hammock related.

    I have been a member of various forums. Several photography forums for instance. Most seem to be dominated by people try to impose their superiority on the newby, that doesn't happen here. In fact I still cannot believe how much people in this forum give of them selves. Opie, who has shared an immense amount of knowledge in a field I assume he derives his living from. Shug who not only is amusing but again share a tremendous amount of knowledge in a funny way. Knotty with his hammock ideas and patterns and all the others who I have failed to acknowledge who contribute openly with their knowledge. Although I have been here a short time I am amazed at the amount of help one can expect with each question and the support one can expect form members helping you thru the difficult first, maybe second attempt at becoming a " Hanger".

    Donate. This is the best forum out there. No flaming, just straight information and innovation. It's cool to see how much the hammock community has progressed in the past five years. This forum is a big part of that.

    Best $10 you'll ever spend.
    Hammocks are just one piece of the pie and you've already seen how helpful and innovative folks are. Well why not enjoy the rest of the pie? You will find the same level of help and innovation in all the other pieces too.

    Not only will you get access to the Kitchen forum but you will get;

    The decoder ring.
    A higher IQ.
    Breath that always smells like peppermint and body odors in general will cease to exist.

    But wait...there's more!!!

    I feel exactly the same way. I brew my own beer and found that when I was a noob (8 years ago). People really talked down on people. Not a good way to get people into a hobby! In general though, campers have more of a community feel than anyone else.

    You probably beat a lot of people out who wanted to make the same reply. It was like batting practice - pudongabc served it up and you hit it out of the park!
