Help me get rid of the calf ridge

I've got my 1.7double strung up in the garage. Real close to a 30* angle hang about four paces apart. Maybe 20ft. At the moment this is my only option to hang. I can't easily adjust the height of the anchor points which is about ten feet high. Would this be the reason for a bad calf ridge? Any suggestions?

20 ft apart seems high for me. If you can go closer, have the straps around head level (your foot end about 5-7 inches higher than head) and keep the ridgline with some slack (not tight), this has helped me in the past. Also, the foot box is a great feature but you do not need to position yourself so as to stick your feet in it. Hope this helps!

For me what fixed it was a longer hammock. I thought wider was the name of the game but wow did a longer ride improve things for me

unfortunately this seems to be a personal problem, ie everyone is different and what works for one person won't work for the next. that being said check this thread: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ght=calf+ridge

Thanks for the links and advice gang. Once I'm free tomorrow I'm going to rig up some supports in the garage at a couple different heights and closer together. I'm think between two walls in a corner. An isosceles triangle with the hammock being the long side, around 15' long. This should give me some more options to adjust and play with it. Now I just have to clean a garage corner

I had this problem when I first got my WBBB - I almost gave up on this hammock, then I tried raising the foot 6 inches. Now I love my Blackbird.
