    I've rejoined the flock!

I must confess that I strayed away from the downey flock last summer. I needed $$$ to finance some new oars for my raft, so I parted with my Incubator. I didn't use my hammock to sleep in on river trips as much as I thought I would, and used my (gasp) tent more. Now before you string me up by my straps & cinch buckles..... it was all the fault of mother nature.....too many sandy beach camps, and too little appropriate trees. However, I kept my Burrow. No way I'd part with that baby. I used it from spring to fall. No more messing with sleeping bag zippers for me. So I've spent the winter lamenting the decision to sell my Incubator. Thanks to a wonderful HF member with a used Incubator for sale, I've rejoined the HG flock completely. I will endeavor to hang as much as possible this summer.
    I am repentant......please forgive me.

Great post! I'm not sure I can absolve you, but you are certainly welcome back to the flock.

    Welcome back to the flock!
The flock missed you as well

BTW, I'm still using and loving that Lafuma chair you recommended to me for these "gather around the fire" group hangs!

Cool. Mine is still going strong. I have "pimped my chair" with some side holders for beverages & my Nook. I dearly love that chair. So comfy & light weight.

In defense / support of your "deviation": My BEST GROUND DAYS EVER were spent sleeping cowboy style (on a pad) on sand bars that I'd shape to fit the back n' butt. Had river-guide friends, and you can only mooch so many free summer raft trips, so I'd just have them drop me off and then fish up and down the river till the weekend was done. Honestly... on par with my hanging sleep. There, I said it.
