Cave,
I didn’t mean to ‘go south’. For reasons unclear, I wasn’t too interested in adding an exact location, but after reading your post, I though it couldn’t hurt.
I certainly didn’t mean to sound as bad as I apparently did. You wouldn’t be the first to think my sense of humor or tact was lacking.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.
Though I'm already on there I may be leaving the US for a year for a job (Iraq). Can I put that on there?
Yeah you should be able to edit and add to the map as you please. FishinFinn messaged me and told me he was able to edit his point on the map.
I'm not sure but you may have to have a Google account to edit the map (Gmail, etc).
For those of you who may not be familiar with how to edit the map the first thing you do is go to the HF Google Map.
Next you will see a list of users on the left hand side of the page. At the top of that list is the "Edit" button. If you are going to edit a point already on the map you will need to find the point in the list and double click on it. It will find that point on the map and zoom you in. Once you click the edit button it will allow you to move that point, rename it, or delete it.
If you adding yourself to the map you will first want to search for your location using the search bar at the top of the page. Next you will click the "My Maps" tab at the top left corner of the page and click on the "Hammock Forums Google Map" link to make sure that the HF map is displayed. Once the HF map is on the page, click the "Edit" button and you will get a list of map icons on the top left corner of the map, right next to the zoom controls (red arrow). Click on the blue tear drop shaped placemark icon and then drop the placemark in your location. Once the placemark is placed on the map it will allow you to add your name and details from there. Don't forget to hit the "Save" button when finished.
If this works out I will add more detailed instructions to the original Google Maps thread.

HC4u, you are correct. You need to have a google account, which btw, is free. Log in to Google first, it makes things easier. I clicked on the link for HF Google Maps in your post. Then I clicked on the link to "save to My Maps". Then I clicked on my name, selected the "edit" button described in your post, changed my icon on my name and the description, clicked on save, then done. Pretty cool.
Thanks to FishinFinn and HC4U for making this user-editable.

Is the P.O. box rental cheaper than the perpetual care fee at the graveyard?
